Eadestown’s third game was at home on Saturday March 28th on a lovely afternoon for football. Once again it was a nice open game but same problem arose as in previous games with the lads unfortunately unable to convert the chances they were creating in front of goal which left them trailing 0-7 to 0-4 at the break . Allenwood continued to control the game in the second
half and when they raised a green flag in the final quarter the game looked dead and buried. The lads however produced a sudden burst of scores highlighted by a Ben Fitz goal and remarkably kicked the lead score with the game all but over . Unfortunately we concede a free from the kick-out and some indiscipline on our part resulted in ball being moved forward 50 metres.
Allenwood converted the free for an orange flag as the free was outside the 2 pt arc – devasting way to lose after a brilliant comeback and unfortunately no points to show after three games.
