The U11 and U12 hurling squads played the annual Hurling Street League every Friday night of February and March. It proved to be an outstanding success, delivering eight nights of high quality, intense hurling, energy, and enjoyment for everyone involved.

With 8 teams and a total of 56 players participating, the league struck a perfect balance between competition and fun, giving every child the chance to develop their skills in a competitive environment.

Across the 32 games played, the standard of hurling was consistently impressive. Players demonstrated not only strong fundamental skills—striking, catching, hooking, blocking etc, but also a growing tactical awareness, resilience and determination. Matches were competitive and closely contested, yet always played in great spirit, reflecting the respect and sportsmanship encouraged throughout the league.

What stood out most was the passion, enthusiasm and enjoyment on display each night. Players improved noticeably as the league progressed, gaining confidence and forming strong bonds with teammates.

With a high standard of hurling along the way, it was a memorable experience for all 56 players, scoring approx. 550 goals over the course of the league.

Well done to all involved.
