U13 B's travelled to Newtown on the back of a good win 2 weeks ago. Rovers started very well and pinned Newtown in forcing good saves through Liam Kelly and Will Musiol.

Rovers eventually broke the deadlock through hard work from Jake Flynn, releasing Alex Mullen to round the keeper and make it 1 nil.

Rovers continued as the better team, hitting the post and forcing the Newtown goalkeeper into further saves.
However 2 errors from Rovers allowed Newtown back into the game and lead 2 1 at halftime.

Rovers again came out on top in the 2nd half but another error allowed Newtown in to make it 3 - 1 against the run of play. Rovers pushed hard and were rewarded with a penalty with 10 mins to go. Despatched with perfection to the top corner by the ever-reliable Aidan Hughes. 3 - 2 game on.

Rovers pushed hard forcing corners free kicks and saves but were denied an equaliser despite deserving more from the game.

Special mentions to Josh Thompson, Lucas Hackett, Rostyk Lehostaiv and Sophie Byrne for excellent performances.
