It is with deep sadness that we mark the passing of our dear club member, Ed Crowe, a man whose contribution to our club and community over the past 40 years has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Ed devoted a lifetime to the club, serving on the executive for over two decades and giving generously of his time, energy, and leadership. He held many key roles, including Club Chairman for six years (1989, 1990, and 1996–1999), Treasurer in 1998, Vice-Chairman, and Minor Club Chairman. His commitment extended to team management, leading our senior team in 1999 and 2000, and being part of the minor management team that reached the Minor A Final in 1998.
A passionate coach, Ed worked tirelessly with both adult and underage teams across the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, helping to shape generations of players. His dedication to the club’s future was further reflected in his role as a trustee for Dr Daly Park from 2002 to 2025.
As a player, Ed was part of the team that won the Junior B League in 1982, a proud moment in his long association with the club.
Beyond our club, Ed was a pillar of the wider parish community, contributing his time and enthusiasm to Tulla Camogie Club, Tulla Athletics Club, Tulla United, Tulla Social Club, and Tulla Tug of War. His impact reached far and wide, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
