The Debutants!
The All County Leagues have been a bit special this season for Mullingar Shamrocks. Rarely, if ever, have we had so many players (12) graduating to the world of adult football. So far the transition has been seamless; the players appear comfortable at the more demanding higher level, some are thriving. Hopefully, we are witnessing the beginnings of what will be a long and successful career in the green and white jerseys.
Paul Keating, Tommy Daly, Ty Masterson, Ben McNamee, Killian Mooney, Ronan Byrne, Ben Sheerin and Adam Buckley, the lads in the attached photo made their adult football debut this year. This was taken at the ACL. Div 2 game v Rosemount on Saturday last.
Other lads not in the photo that also made their adult debut this year are Conor Heffernan, Jack Toal, Padraig Casey and Andy Gavigan. Criostóir Ormsby stepped out on Tuesday night against StLomans Gaa in the ACL Div 5.
