Remembering Billy

As we prepare for our Juvenile Fundraiser — a Hyrox Sim Event on June 6th — we also take this opportunity to remember our great friend and one of the club’s most loyal supporters, Billy Loughnane.

Billy meant so much to our club and wider community. While many knew him as a familiar face on the sidelines, he was also the quiet presence behind the camera, capturing countless treasured memories over the years. From action shots and celebrations to proud family moments and friendships, Billy had a special gift for preserving the moments that mattered most.

Billy also had a great love for dogs, especially golden retrievers. In his memory, we are proud to support Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland and help raise funds for the training of assistance dogs for autistic children.

These incredible dogs provide safety, reassurance and independence to children and families navigating everyday life.

Through this fundraiser, we hope to honour Billy’s lasting impact on our club and community, while supporting a great cause and remembering Billy s true love - dogs that were so very close to his heart.
