Ladies Football
Ladies Football
Last Sunday morning, we hosted a fantastic U12 girls blitz and were delighted to welcome teams from Liscannor x2, Corofin x2 and Cúl Gaels. We fielded three teams on the day, with all players performing superbly and showing great progress in their football skills across every game. The commitment, teamwork and enthusiasm on display were a credit to the group. The girls deserve special commendation for their resilience, playing through hailstones and battling hard in very challenging conditions. Their determination and effort made it a very enjoyable and successful morning of football. Thanks to all involved.
Our U10 girls football had their first blitz of the season last Wednesday where we hosted the Banner in Eire Og. The weather was perfect and we had four mini games in which all 30 girls displayed great skill and competitive spirit wearing the red jersey. It was great the see the progress they have made after the last number of weeks training. Looking forward to our next blitz in mid June!
Wishing the very best of luck to our U14 superstars Edie Connellan & Ailbhe O’Neill representing Clare in the All-Ireland U14 ladies semi-final v Cavan in Abbotstown on Saturday.

Our U13 Camogie team have qualified for the semi final of their championship. The game will take place in Éire Óg on Wednesday 27th May, with further fixture details to be confirmed early next week on socials. Congratulations to the players and management and best of luck in the semi final.
Our U11 camogie players continue to represent the club proudly, with two Éire Óg teams travelling to Feakle this evening, Friday, for their latest blitz with Feakle Killanena and Crusheen. The blitzes provide great opportunities for younger players to develop their skills, teamwork and enjoyment of the game. Well done to all involved and thank you to the mentors and parents for their continued support.
Academy
Academy training continues every Monday and Friday evening, and if you’re looking to get involved, we would love to have you on board! There are lots of ways to help out, whether it’s from an administrative perspective, coaching teams, or lending a hand with club events and activities. Every contribution makes a difference to the development of our young players and the club as a whole. If you’re interested, please reach out to any of our coaches, and they will be happy to point you in the right direction.
Best of luck to our U7 footballers as they take part in their very first blitz! It’s an exciting milestone for the team as they face off against neighbouring clubs, put their skills into practice, and continue their football journey. Most importantly, we hope everyone enjoys the day, has lots of fun, and keeps developing in a positive and supportive environment.

Huge congratulations to our U15 footballers on winning the Féile B Tournament in Lissycasey after a dramatic victory over Western Gaels. Both teams gave absolutely everything in a thrilling contest that went to extra time, with Éire Óg finding a few crucial early scores in the first half of extra time to create a cushion and see out the win. The sides met again in the championship yesterday evening, and once more it proved to be a fiercely competitive encounter, with Éire Óg edging it by 5-9 to 4-11. This talented group will now go on to represent Clare in the Féile divisional competition in late June — a fantastic achievement. Great stuff from all the lads, and we wish them the very best of luck! If there is any company that would like to help sponsor a set of tops we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch with the coaches if this is something you can help with.
Congratulations to our U15 Academy hurlers on reaching the Academy B Final after a comprehensive victory over Cratloe. The lads put in a fantastic team performance to book their place in the decider and can take great confidence from a superb display. Well done to all involved, and best of luck in the final where they take on Kilmaley — we’ll all be cheering you on.
Congratulations to our Minor Hurlers on a fantastic victory in the Minor Shield League Final last Sunday, securing a comprehensive win over Sixmilebridge. This was a massive squad performance, with every player contributing to an outstanding team display and a thoroughly deserved success. A special word of praise goes to captain Aaron Mounsey, who led from the back and showed tremendous leadership throughout the campaign. Another standout performer was Jamie Ryan, who looks dangerous every time he gets the ball in hand and proved a constant threat. Well done to all the players and management on a brilliant achievement, and here’s hoping this talented group can bring home further silverware in the Championship!
