Club Notice

Dromintee GAC sits at the heart of our community and the club environment is designed to showcase the positive values and traits at the centre of that community.

The club grounds are the focal point of everything we hold dear. We want everyone to leave the club premises feeling good about themselves & what both they and those close to them can achieve.

We are now blessed with amazing facilities which are the envy of many clubs and the result of painstaking voluntary efforts across generations.

The pitches, the clubhouse, the walking tracks and the surrounds are covered by our insurance as is GAA related activity. The surrounding premises, houses, fields and tracks are NOT  covered. They are NOT club grounds and in many cases are private properties and working farms. It is imperative that we respect the property of others and the safety of those on our premises.

To this end we are not only advising but clearly indicating to all concerned and particularly to juveniles that they should not under any circumstances leave the clearly marked club grounds and stray on to adjoining properties. If you do so you are not insured, you are not acting under the auspices of the club and you are not the responsibility of the club. We say this to ensure the health, safety and protection of all.

Similarly our membership has grown considerably in recent times and the club is a hive of activity on a constant basis,  which is again a reflection of how successful the club has been in terms of growth, development and participation. It is primarily a GAA club. Use of e-bikes, scooters, and quads or similar vehicles is prohibited and those using them or perhaps injured by them are not insured at any point in time. We would not just ask but advise all parents to make this clear to everyone for the safety of all concerned.

We would also like to remind everyone to slow down when driving into the club grounds.

Fundamentally we want the club to be a place of fun, happiness, joy, laughter and hard work where everyone has the chance to maximise their talents and reap the rewards of their endeavours.
No activity should detract from that and local residents should be comfortable that their properties and belongings are respected by all club members. We ask all to enjoy Dromintee GAC, respect our environment and act for the safety and betterment of all in our community and beyond.
