Division 3 League vs St. Mary’s Rochfortbridge

We travelled to Rochfortbridge on Saturday evening to take on the home side in the final round of Division 3 League. Despite putting in a solid performance the hosts recorded a 4:17 to 0:13 win.

Due to a significant number of injuries, holidays and exams, the panel has been stretched to its max of late and despite all the lads present putting in good performances, the hosts finished strongly to record a comfortable win in the end.

Brian McGowan, making his first start in Divison 3, put in a fine performance at corner back, and like his brother, is making a name for himself as a tight marking defender.

Aidan Finnan, Daragh Lyons and Ken Conroy kicked 4 2 pointers between them, while Enda Newman and Luke Kiernan provided great pace from their wing back positions.

As the team now focus on their opening round game in the Championship against Mullingar Shamrocks, they will be looking forward to strengthening the squad over the coming weeks with exams, holidays and injuries clearing up.

Team: Alan Manning, Conor Newman, Ronan Scally, Brian McGowan, Luke Kiernan, Andy Whitney, Enda Newman, John Kiernan, Aidan Finnan, Cian Tighe, Daragh Lyons, Ken Conroy, Caolan Fulham, Brian Maguire & Barry O Mara. Subs: Kevin Mitchell.

Go Games Blitz

A very busy Saturday morning on Saturday 6th June saw us play host to Under 8 and Under 10 GAA Blitzes involving teams from Lilliput Gaels and Ballycomoyle. This was a fantastic morning of football and very well done to all of the players and coaches for a brilliant display!!!

A special word of thanks to our Young whistlers Cian, Harry, Thomas and Michael who took charge of the games and performed brilliantly.

A sincere word of thanks to Emily Bannon and all involved in the Bake Sale and who provided tea, coffee and refreshments which were very much appreciated by all.

Once again our parking crew had everything working very smoothly and efficiently in the car parks. Thank you to Eddie Newman, Jimmy Finnan, and Jimmy McCormack.

Thanks to John Tormey for all of the work in lining out the pitch and helping to have it look so well.

Our sincere thanks to all of the coaches who organised everything this morning and had plans circulated to the clubs in advance. Some of the hardest work happens behind the scenes and David Newman and Daire Moynihan had everything looked after for all the teams.

Inny Shamrocks Féile 2026 Fundraiser

Inny Shamrocks are gearing up for the upcoming Féile 2026!

This tournament is a massive milestone for these players, offering them a fantastic opportunity to compete at a high level and make memories that will last a lifetime.

To help cover the costs of travel, gear, and preparation for the squad, an official GoFundMe campaign has been launched. As a community, we want to give these young players the absolute best backing possible.

We would be immensely grateful if the Bunbrosna family and wider community could support them. Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.

You can donate at the link below:

Thank you all for your brilliant and continued support. Let's get behind Inny Shamrocks and wish the team the very best of luck!
