Whilts it was a great achievement to reach the League final for our 5th team unfortunately on the evening the spoils went to a very good Inagh Kilnamona side. Trailing by 2 points at half time the Bridge tried hard in the second half but Inagh Kilnamona were just quicker on the breaks and had an excellent return from their wing forward who did the majority of their scoring. The Bridge had good performances from Ben O'Connell returning 2-2 and Michael O'Halloran returning 0-3 from play. Brian O'Loughlin in the full back line also put in a good shift acoss the hour. Also Robert Conlon played very well until haviong to go off injured and Sam Edbrooke made some great saves in goals. With a few missing because of holidays, their addition may have helped but nevertheless this was a good win for a strong Inagh Kilnamona side who will certainly be contenders in the Junior B championship.
John Fahys men will now turn their focus to the Junior C championship where the Bridge have been drawn in a group with Ballyea, Doora Barefield, Tubber & Tulla. The 1st round is due to throw in on the 10th August against Tubber.
