COOKS ROAD UPDATE: PLEASE READ

The Cooks Road Development Fund is vital for our club to move from being land owners to turning that land into the vision we all agreed on, with pitches and facilities fitting for a growing thriving club.

We now intend to turn the vision into a design that can move to planning. 

Many thanks to those who have  listened to the call and signed up to €5 a week, the price of a cup of coffee, but this is a very modest number, only a fraction of  people within our large membership base.

We now want to speak to those who unfortunately haven’t yet understood the size of the task and the need for money. 

The Harsh Reality is there’s a funding gap and until our own members get involved we won’t be able to look to others for their support. 

Funding Gap: At the current rate of contributions we will only raise the funding needed to go to design and planning over the next 3 years. So to those who ask when we will have a pitch, we will have it approximately 2 years after we get planning permission to build. 

Currently we lack the required funding to hire an architect to prepare proper plans.

No External Backing: Without architectural

plans, we cannot approach large prospective

companies or investors who can make a real

financial difference. 

This is a massive project that will transform our club, but it cannot happen without full buy-in from our own members. 

If we do not support this project from the inside, external partners won't either. Without your immediate support, this development simply will not happen in the timeframe we all want to see.
