Castletown gained their third draw in this year's AFL Div2 at home to Ballinabrackey on Saturday evening. Castletown played with the advantage of a slight wind in the first half and led 1-7 to 4 points with scores from Kevin Ross 0-3 (1 45) Damien Ginnitty 1-0 Darren Finney 0-2 1f and Robbie Hoey 0-1 and Declan Cribbin 0-1.
The start of the second half was point for point until with 51 minutes on the clock Castletown scored their last point the visitors had their period of dominance scoring 1-5 without reply to level proceedings with one minute of added time played. Castletown had a chance even after that to take both points but shot narrowly wide. Those on target in the final half for Castletown were Kevin Ross with 0-5 (1f) and one point each for Wayne Donegan and Declan Cribbin. Next up for Castletown will be a trip to near neighbours Nobber for Rnd 10 of Div 2 of AFL where points will be a premium I this local derby.
