Phase 2 of the Cappa Lodge Field drainage project is currently underway. There has been huge work taking place at the field over the last number of weeks since the field was closed to facilitate the works. The works involve installing drainage pipes and stone across and along the length of the pitch at specified intervals to aide drainage of the field in wet weather. The works are currently being undertaken by clubman Brendan O'Callaghan.

Thankfully club hurling and camogie Teams have been very helpful by doubling up om sessions in the mainfield or altering training times where poaaible to facilitate the works.

It is expected the works will be completed in the next few weeks but a period of time will then be required to allow for field grass repair and growth.
