Juvenile News:

U12:
The U12's had a challenge match away to Ballinora on Thursday 20th Aug.
On Friday 21st Aug Joey Gleeson captained the team to a great win in the division 6 league in Kiely Park. Great to see a big vocal support. Result: Win

The division 3 side travelled to Youghal on Saturday 22 Aug winning a tough competitive game. Result: Win

U14:
U14B Championship was scheduled for 20th Aug V Kildorrery. Result : Win

On 21 Aug it was time for U14 Premier 1 Championship where Sars took on St. Finbarr's. Result: Loss

U16:
We took on Douglas in U16 Premier 2 Championship at home in Páirc Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh on 17 Aug. Result: Win
The U16s also played U16 4A championship on 18 Aug in Kiely Park. Douglas were again the opposition on the night. Result: Loss
On 20th Aug it was U16 4B championship. This was played in Rathpeacon. Result: Win

The non stop fixtures for this age group continues this week with 2 fixtures on the schedule. U16 4A league final on 29th Aug and U16 Premier 2 Championship on 31st Aug. see fixtures for full details.

Minor News:
The Premier 1 Minor Championship exploded in this last group game at home in Páirc Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh on Wednesday evening. This was a do or die fixture for both teams. The tempo was high, the hits were hard and the skill on show was top class. All in all a thriller of a game. Unfortunately a late late goal for Midleton gave them the points to move on from the group stages. Result: Sars 1:15 Midleton 1:17

Immediately after the Premier 1 game Sars 2 took on Youghal. Result: Loss

Adult News:
Friday commenced the bumper adult hurling weekend across all grades. East Cork Junior A Championship game was played in Glenville against Bride Rovers. Result: Sars 0:15 Bride Rovers 2:20

The Seniors travelled to Mallow to take on Newtownshandrum on Saturday. This game gave everything with goals galore. Despite missing a number of lads through injury it was great to see Cathal McCarthy and James Sweeney return to competitive action. James scoring two of Sars four goals and Cathal chipping in with two points. Daniel Kearney deservedly picked up the Clubber Man of the match. Result: Sars 4:21 Newtownshandrum 4:14

We continued winning ways on Sunday in Shanagarry where our Intermediate team took on a much fancied Youghal. This was a great display of team work with effort and work rate all over the pitch. Result: Sars 3:19 Youghal 2:14

To finish off a packed weekend of Championship hurling the Junior C's travelled to Caherlag to take on near neighbours Erin's Own. Result Sars 2:24 Erin's Own 4:16
