Senior Ladies Championship Our Ladies had a tough assignment in Inniskeen last Sunday afternoon in their Championship semi final clash with the home side. This was a strong test for the team as Inniskeen took an early lead. The girls struggled to come to terms with the physicality of the opposition and in the end it was probably a step too for our fledglings. The homeside won in the end by five points and maybe on another day our luck may have been better. They now get back the league and hopefully more success.
Senior Men Championship Our penultimate game in the championship series, took us to Rockcorry on Sunday evening. On the back of a good win against Toome, confidence was high, however it wasn’t reflected in the first half. It was a dogged affair where neither team had any fluidity to their play and they were stifling each other in each attack. The upshot was a draw at the break and nobodys world was set alight. The second period brought the rain and the tempo of the game changed as the Seans got to grips with the conditions and the opposiition. A much more assured performance and scores were tagged on to create a buffer between the teams. In the end, despite conceeding a last minute penalty they secured the win. Junior football can be far from glamorous at times but it can be necessary to just grind out the result and move on. The last game in the series will be at home to Scotstown on the 19th Sep.
U12 Girls Final Our U12 girls took part in the Division One Shield Final on Saturday last in Donaghmoyne. A close affair by all accounts however, some confusion at the end as the opposition was awarded the game even tough the result would have appeared to be a draw. After a little adjudication and relection by the officials, it was declared a draw and they now have a replay of the fixture with details still to be confirmed.
U12 Boys The best of luck to our U12 squad who play in the division 7 Cup Final, at home to Clan na Gael on Sunday at 11am.
U16 Boys Good luck to our U16 boys who will play Latton on Saturday, away, in the semi final of the championship.

Keep free the 25th of October as live horse racing comes to the Complex. This Juvenile Fundraising event will be like no other as we saddle up our jockeys, entertain the owners and applaude the trainers. Please support the youngsters when they call and you can purchase a jockey , a trainer , an owner or all three.
