Please be advised that a significant number of wasps have been observed near the dugouts at the TCGS Hockey Pitch in Templecarrig.
While a nest has not yet been located, the wasps appear to be particularly active around a tree close to the dugout area.
Players, parents, coaches and visitors are asked to take extra care when using the pitch and surrounding area. Please keep children away from areas where wasps are active and take any necessary personal precautions, particularly if you or your child has a known allergy to wasp stings.
Please do not approach or disturb any suspected nest.
