As part of European Week of Sport, which runs from 23 to 30 September 2026, the Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs Programme, supported by Sport Ireland, is asking clubs to hold a Healthy Clubs Inclusion Day. The idea is to open the club to the wider community so that people can take part, connect and feel that they belong.

Activities can include community walks, GAA taster sessions, inclusive games, family activities or community gatherings. Clubs are encouraged to reach beyond the existing membership and link up with schools, disability organisations, family resource centres, intercultural and migrant support groups, active retirement groups, Local Sports Partnerships and other community organisations.

We are looking for volunteers to help us put our own Inclusion Day together. If you would like to get involved, or if you are part of a local group that would like to take part, please contact Seán Kinsella, Healthy Club Officer, on 087 338 5064.
