On Saturday evening we faced Galtee Rover/St Pecaun in the final round of the county Championship. Despite being already through to County Quarter final, a win would seal our position at the top of the group.

This game was very slow to get going, it was in the 8th minute that Galtee scored the first point from a free.  In the 10th Minutes rovers got a much-needed wakeup call with Galtee scoring a goal, David McGrath responded immediately with a goal from play.  Galtee point from play, Liam Boland replied with a point from play.  Danny Owens scored a second goal from play in the 17th Minute.  We went on to score a further 4 points in the remainder of the first half.  Half time score Moyle Rovers 2-5 Galtee Rovers/St Pecaun 1-2 Our defence in the second half held Galtee rovers to scoring a single point in the entire second half.   Liam Boland scored a third goal from a penalty, while Shane Foley, Luke Boland, Aidan McGrath, David McGrath and Craig Condon added a further 8 points to run out comfortable winners.  Final Score Moyle Rovers 3-13 Galtee Rovers/St Pecaun 1-3
