This past weekend saw renowned Doncaster based coach and former Leeds professional Jason Blunt return to Maree/Oranmore fc to hold a series of specialist Training sessions with several club teams and our club coaches. Great credit is due to our club Director of Coaching Mike Quirke who coordinated all aspects of Jason's very successful club return visit. 24 club coaches attended the Coach the Coaches session on Saturday evening in a very informative and active hour and a half period. The club made a special presentation to Jason Blunt on the conclusion of his very successful weekend work with Maree/Oranmore fc.
Members Development Draw
Our monthly Club Members Draw for our 4g Pitch Development took place on Saturday night with Damian Lafferty scooping the first prize with Regina Luft getting the second cash prize and the Third prize going to Siobhan Holohan. Club AGM
Our club agm will be held in late June with arrangements to be confirmed. Meanwhile the Galway and District League AGM this year will be hosted by Bearna Na Forbacha Aontaithe and will be held on next Monday June 17th at 7.30pm in the Connemara Coast Hotel. Soccer Summer Camp
Our Club hosted FAI summer camp will take place from Monday August 5th to 9th on the New Maree Pitches. Bookings online only on www.summersoccerschools.ie
Street Leagues
Well done to Mark Herrick assisted by fellow club coaches for running u7/u8 boys Street Leagues held every Monday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 7pm in Oranmore. Large numbers of players and crowds attended the opening games last week. This will continue up to the end of June.
