Gortnahoe Glengoole GAA Club would like to wish all the best to staunch clubman Eddie Stokes and his wife to be Michelle Cummins as they get married today.

Eddie has been involved in the club since under 10s and is still going strong although the coalbrook man will tell you that “one of the clubs finest hurlers could have been lost to Ballingarry“

Eddies finest moment in the red in white perhaps came in the 2001 county U16A Hurling Final when he blocked a Roscrea rasper in the final moments with his head ! (Before helmets were mandatory!) as we clung onto a 3 point lead. We went onto to win a historic double that day as a result!

Have a great day Eddie and Michelle and best wishes for the future
