What a day for our Banner GAA Ennis Club Man - Shane Meehan. This morning the Electric Ireland , All Ireland Minor Hurling team of the year was announced and our own Shane Meehan was named among the 15 following his excellent performances with Clare in the Munster Minor Hurling Championship and the All Ireland Series Round Robin. 2 standout pieces for this writer are be the brilliant goal that Shane scored in the Munster Minor hurling final versus Limerick and his stunning performance against Galway in Clare's bid to get to an All Ireland semi final where he amassed 13 points in that game where Clare lost narrowly to the Tribesmen. We are all delighted and so proud of Shane in the Club. He regularly comes and chats with our smallies teams and he is such a good role model. Congrats to his family also and to the all the coaches in the Banner who have worked with Shane since he was 5 years of age and picked up a hurley. See link below for more details.
