A feast of Hurlingwas had in Sars on Sunday as two teams each from Sars, Ballygunner, Sixmilebridge & Monaleen battled it out for the Birdie Hayes Trophy.
One of Sars finest defenders, Birdie gave a faultless display at corner back when Sars won their first county, defeating Glen Rovers in 1951. Well done to all these U11 hurlers who competed.
In the end Ollie Hayes presented the Trophy to Ballygunner with Sars capturing the Shield.
Well done also to the organisers who ran the event so efficiently, with excellent refreshments available for all present.
