The death has occurred in Essex of former Éire Óg player, James 'Mox' McMahon. James played corner back in the 1965 county final v Newmarket and also scored the winning goal as corner forward for the CBS v Flannan's in the 1962 Harty final. He moved to England shortly after the '65 final but continued to support Éire Óg as do his wider family. A mass will be held at a later date in Ennis Cathedral.
