Our Minor hurlers played out a hard fought 1-9 to 0-12 draw with Drom-Inch at the Ragg last night. A miserable night made it very difficult to hurl but both tams fought tooth and nail for every ball to serve up an entertaining encounter. Five Darragh Doyle points (4 frees) plus one from Conor Cadell gave us a one point lead at the break ( 0-6 to 0-5 ). A fortunate goal shortly after the break gave Drom the impetus and they pushed four clear. ( 1-7 to 0-6 ). Brackens were in no mood to surreneder however with Conor Cadell and James Ryan driving the team forward from midfield. Cadell ( 2 from play plus one free ) and Doyle ( 3 frees ) added a hat-trick apiece in the second half to leave the game all square at the final whistle. We now play Boherlahan in the Park next Wednesday night at 7.30pm. The top team in the group advance to the final while second plays third in the lone semi-final.
