Junior A side make it 2 wins from 2 to start the Premier A League Campaign

On Sunday afternoon, the Junior A team played out a nail-biting, roller-coaster of a game away to Fairview B, when coming from 4-1 down after 20 minutes to eventually run out 6-5 winners with Elliott Slattery scoring the winner with 11 minutes remaining. This was one of those crazy games that frustrate managers but keep supporters entertained. Despite going behind early in the game, drawing level at 4-4, then going 4-5 down, the lads showed great character & resilience to grind out the win and make it two from two. The other Newport scorers were Brian O’Sullivan (2), Ben Coleman, Kev Connolly & Davy Ryan.
