Thanks to Enda Nolan who penned this lovely poem in memory of Paddy Kelly

-

Goodnight dear paddy

Sleep you sound

Your foot print penetrates our ground

Your dna in every blade

Your memory will never fade

-

A centre back That I was told ,

Would keep you warm if your were cold ;)

The Stories sung in Kennedy’s pub

It hit me then ,

He was our club !!

-

The one true constant every night

Regardless of the muck and shite

The field was ready!!

Gates swung wide

Stood our dear paddy full of pride

-

His beloved Alice cooked and kept us right

And washed our jerseys Crisp and bright !

A lady with a golden heart

It hurts me that you two must part !!

-

So let’s raise a glass !

Last one for the road

Let the brandy and the stories flow

For our President has gone above 🇺🇦

And left puckane with all our love ❤️

-

Rest In Peace Paddy Kelly
