The GAA has changed its Player and Games Management IT platform from Servasport to a system called FOIREANN. This has resulted in some significant changes as regards to how all clubs register their players.

This year we need ALL parents to initiate the process by registering an account on Foireann and then adding their children (previously, player registration was carried out in the background by the club’s officers)

Many parents already registered a Foireann account during 2020 as part of the Covid Return To Play Protocol. If so, skip straight to step 2 below

It is a reasonably straight forward process, and the attached screenshots should be of assistance

STEPS

1. Go to https://returntoplay.gaa.ie/ and register as a new user

2. Log back in, and click on the FAMILY heading

3. Add New Family

4. Add your childrens’ details incl. date of birth and save.

  • Usernames must be unique, therefore please choose another username to create your account if you receive an ‘Invalid Username’ error message.

Players are registered on an annual basis for two main reasons:

1. To ensure a team is properly constituted

2. To be covered by the GAA Players Insurance Scheme
