Our special video podcast this week is with two former Munster SHC winners – Clare’s Jamesie O’Connor, and Brian Flannery, the Tipperary native and 1995 All-Ireland U21 winner who went on to star for Waterford. Indeed, in 2002, Brian was a member of the Waterford senior hurling team that shocked Tipperary in the provincial final. It’s a timely chat as Clare are due to play Waterford in next Sunday’s Munster quarter-final, with the winners out against Tipperary a week later in the semi-finals. Brian and Jamesie run the rule over Clare and Waterford’s chances, while also running the rule over Tipperary. There’s also a flashback to the fiery 1998 Munster Final replay between Clare and Waterford in Thurles – a game that brings the memories flooding back for Brian and Jamesie!
