The traditional Feile competition moves to u15 this year and Dromintee enjoyed a comfortable first round win at home to Mullaghbawn.

The home side played with the advantage of a breeze in the opening period and settled quickly to build a four point lead before Mullaghbawn were able to respond with a free kick. As the first water break approached, full forward Euan O'Neill took advantage of an excellent long pass to fire the opening goal.

The visitors rallied after the quick break and attacked with more purpose but the home defence, led by the two Mícheáls - McCreesh and McCoy - worked very hard to ensure no more scores were conceded in the opening period. As half time approached, four points in a row from Diarmaid O'Rourke pushed the Dromintee lead out to ten points.

Mullaghbawn rallied again after the break and pressed hard with the aid of the breeze in the first ten minutes of the second half. The home defence held firm and Dromintee picked off two well worked goals on the break through attacking duo Euan O'Neill and Aidan Byrne to all but end the game as a contest.

Another push came from the visitors in the final quarter and they finished strongly with goal to reward their endevour throughout but Dromintee closed the game out with well worked points from Eoghan McKeever and Fergus Toale.

Dromintee 3-11 Mullaghbawn 1-03.
