U16 girls shine at Kanturk:
Blue skies and warm weather added to a hive of activitiy as Killarney RFC U16’s and U14’s girls arrived at Kanturk Rugby Club for some friendly games.
With Kanturk short a few players our girls quickly swapped jerseys and went on to play a cracker of a game. Killarney got off to a great start and Kanturk fought back very well, putting in a great effort, more so as they are still developing.
Killarney girls, especially those that had just come up from U14s did themselves really proud.
Fia and Bronagh, taking turns to kick conversions were superb. One ball being kicked so high over the trees never to be found…
A huge thanks to our wonderful hosts at Kanturk RFC for their great array of sandwiches, cakes, tea and coffee. It was much appreciated.
Also thanks wonderful supporters, and parents who traveled, Josh for reffing, Diarmuid for coaching and the girls for doing what they do so well - play brilliant rugby!
