We in CLG Éire Óg Inis are thrilled to have been awarded €107,959 from the Sports Capital Fund allocations, announced this morning. This is a huge kick-start for our fundraising project to provide a new gym for our members and the local community and also construct 2 new gender specific dressing rooms to cater for the explosion in members we have experienced over the past 3 years. It is just reward for the trojan efforts of our energetic, hardworking development committee, who have explored all revenue seeking avenues over the past while. We also wish to acknowledge the help and support of local TDs, Cathal Crowe, who brought Minister for Sport, Jack Chambers on site to view the proposed development at first hand, also Deputy Joe Carey, for his ongoing interest, support and enquiries on our behalf and local counsellors Pat Daly, Claire Colleran Molly and Roisin Garvey for their support. Encouraged by this award, we will shortly be launching a fundraising campaign among our members to raise the additional funding required to begin the project.
