The Healthy Club at Roche GFC organised a couch to 5 k to coincide with RTEs Operation Transformation.
The aim was for the participants to complete the Fitzer 5 k in February. Over 60 people joined in the challenge and trained under the guidance of the wonderful coaches. Brian McGuinness, Arleen Marmion, Wanda Quigley, Noel Litchfield and Denise Grant.
The group donated funds raised to the Irish Kidney Association which amounted to €885. The cheque was handed over to club member Ciarán Conlon on behalf of the IKA.
Ciarán had a successful living donor transplant in July 2020.
Ciarán wishes to express his thanks to all thise who organised , trained and participated in the couch to 5 K. Ciarán would also like to thank all members of Roche Emmets for their support to him and his family prior to, during and post his transplant.
