After 2 previous weeks of cancelled football fixtures due to home and away pitches being unplayable, the u12 LGFA girls go games eventually began on Saturday with a short away trip v Na Fianna in Collinstown.
34 girls across 3 teams put in splendid performances with competitive tackling and sharp shooting in glorious sunshine.
For 5 of the recently recruited girls, it was their 1st match in the Finians colours, seamlessly slotting in and they represented their team with distinction . Well done girls 👏
The later than usual throw in time necessitated a quick dash by coaches Dave & James straight after the match to Aviva Stadium where they just about made the kick off time of the Ireland v Belgium match!
Being recategorised as a 3 team group for LGFA has seen the team grouped against some of the bigger Dublin Clubs and they look forward to a home fixture v St Vincent's on Saturday week.
