Congratulations to Stephen Gavin who was corner forward on the St. Flannans first year team who captured the Clare Post Primary Schools First year title. The school were in a unique position this year with their 2 first year teams qualifying for the Clare decider for the first time since 2016. The A-L team lining out in white was coached by Bridge man and Flannans student Fiachra O'Braoin who has been busy lining out with the Clare Minors this season as well as winning a Dean Ryan title with the school earlier this year.

Stephen lined out in the forwards and while he wore the unlucky for some 13 jersey he ended up with 6 points to his name as his side won out on a score of 2-12 to 2-09 after leading by 3 points at half time.

Well done to all the Bridge boys who also took part in the competition representing St. Caimins and St Pats in Shannon and thanks to all the school coaches and teachers for their continuous support in developing schools hurling throughout the county.
