Well done to all involved in running and taking part in Saturday's Demot McNulty Hurling Tournament at the RCSI groupds. U12 teams from 10 clubs took part in Plate, Shield and Cup competitions, with Na Fianna being represented by the 2010 Boyps group.
A great day was had by all. Askeaton/B/K from Limerick saw off Ballinteer St John in the Plate final, winning 1-6 to 0-1. The Shield final was contested between Galway's Meelick Eyrecourt and Tyrone's Eoghan Ruadh Dungannon, with the boys from the west winning well: final score 4-7 to 0-1.
The Cup final was a much closer affair. Na Fianna took on Tullamore and won by just one point to keep the cup in Dublin: final score was Na Fianna 1-6, Tullamore 2-2. This is the first Na Fianna team to win the McNulty Cup since the tournament was founded: comhghairdeas mór to all involved.
