Our young volunteers were recognised at an Ulster GAA awards ceremony in Armagh City Hotel today. Three young volunteers, Cliodhna McCoy, Ciara Walker and Leah McCreesh undertook the Presidents Award - GAISCE/DofE through the Joint Award Initiative. GAISCE is the most prestigious youth award in Ireland. It is a self-development programme for young people aged 14 -25 which has been proven to enhance confidence and wellbeing through participation in personal, physical and community challenges.

Ciara and Cliodhna received their awards from President of Ulster GAA Ciaran McLaughlin. Also present were Kate Thompson and Julie McGimpsey from the Joint Award Initiative. Missing from photo Leah McCreesh.

The club is indebted to the managers and leaders within the club who facilitated and mentored the girls taking part in the award and offer congratulations to the girls on this great achievement. Well done to all involved.
