Tipperary midfielder Conor Stakelum is expected to return to action later in the National League after it was confirmed he suffered a minor hamstring injury against Laois.

The Thurles Sarsfields man made way at the start of the second half of the match at FBD Semple Stadium, pulling up innocuously running to a ball, and there was concerns from Tipperary boss Liam Cahill over the injury.

However, the injury was not a serious one as Stakelum suffered a "strain" and after a period of rest and rehab, he will see league action again before the end of the competition.
