Brief history of the early days ( courtesy of Clare GAA year book 2001)
Eire Og Camogie club was founded by Michael Brennan in 1967. They claimed their first senior title in 1968 at the expense of an experienced Killanena side, who were champions for the previous 9 years. Eire Og dominated the senior championship, winning 8 senior titles in a row, until they were defeated by Wolfe Tones in 1976. Eire Og went on to claim four more senior titles from 1978 to 1981 and had a strong representation on the Clare team that defeated Limerick in the 1974 Munster final.
