The famous Clare teams of '77 and '78 that we have all heard of will be honoured at tonight's National Hurling League Final between Clare and Kilkenny in Thurles by Clare Gaa.

The finalists in both 1977 and 1978 were Clare and Kilkenny so tonight is a fitting night to honour the men of '77 and '78.

Of course our own Fr. Harry Bohan was the man in charge back then and the team were blessed to have won national titles.

Bridge members of the panel and team those years were Sean Stack and Noel Casey who earned All Stars as well as Pat Morey, Flan McInerney and Leo Quinlan, all of whom went on to contribute hugely to the club and won senior club championships, our first coming around this time also, in 1977.
