CRUSHEEN/Tubber had a deserved win over Wolfe Tones at a sun soaked Tubber this evening.
While the visitors made the brighter start with the first two points inside three minutes, the home side took control thereafter and would lead by 4-4 to 0-2 by half time, with Dylan Lyons getting two goals and Paddy Taaffee and Luke Ketelaar scoring one each.
Although Wolfe Tones would exert a certain amount of pressure in the second half, they never really looked like they could overhaul the defecit. Dylan Lyons had the final Crusheen/Tubber goal, two minutes from the end of normal time.
Crusheen/Tubber now go into Monday's semi final, in which they will face the Banner at 3.30pm in Clooney on Monday. The other semi final, between Bodyke/O'Callaghan's Mills and Éire Óg will be played at the same time in the adjacent pitch, with the final taking place immediately afterwards.
