Are we there yet?...............well the answer is a very definite yes, we are there, as GAA club competitions return this weekend.

After all the misery caused by recent weather events, what could be better than an hour spent cheering on our footballers?

The boys travel to Moynalvey on Saturday for the opening round of the Corn Na Bóinne, the pre-season cup competition for Intermediate teams.

Both teams will be missing a number of players due to intercounty commitments, nevertheless it promises to be an interesting game as players, coaches, match officials and supporters get to grips with the new rules.

Please come out and support the boys on Saturday.

If nothing else, it's sure to whet your appetite (and maybe even work up a thirst) for our club dinner dance on Saturday night.

Throw-in is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
