Oranmore Maree One Club held our annual Donal Greene Easter Camp last week at New Maree pitches, generally in bright sunshine and with a large group of kids ranging in age from 6 to 12.

A big thank you to all our Junior Coaches, who all play with our club teams and have given their time this week to coach the younger generation. They did a great job and hopefully everyone enjoyed the Football and Camogie/Hurling sessions.

Some of our coaches are representing Galway in Minor & U17 Camogie, Hurling and Gaelic Football this year and best of luck to them in the ongoing inter-county campaigns.

A big thanks to our Games Promotion Officer, Jack Grealish, who ran our camp and to the adult club coaches who volunteered to supervise each day.

We were delighted to finish off the camp on Thursday with visits from our Galway Seniors, Rachael Hanniffy (Camogie) and Diarmuid Hanniffy (Hurling), who met and chatted with all the kids and signed hurls. We were also very happy to see Sean & Betty Greene, Donal’s parents, and stalwarts of our club, on the final day.

Overall, the camp was very well received and we hope all the kids got good enjoyment and fun out of it.
