This Sunday 27th April, club member Julianna Markey will be running the TCS London Marathon, in aid of the Southern Area Hospice Services.
The Southern Area Hospice aim to provide the highest standard of specialist palliative care to individuals with complex life-limiting conditions, irrespective of their condition or place of care.
Whilst the Hospice does receive some annual financial support from the Department of Health, they rely heavily on fundraising. This year they need to fundraise £3.6 million, which is approximately £300,000 per month, £69,230 per week, £9,863 per day, £410 per hour.
At our Senior Men & Ladies respective home games this weekend, we will be doing a bucket collection to support Julianna’s fundraising efforts.
Every little helps, so please donate what you can, as you never know when you or a loved one may need to avail of these services! Silverbridge Gfc MagheryGAC
