Easter weekend saw a group of 50 people from Nort AC in Nort-sur-erdre, France arrive to Sixmilebridge for a sporting and cultural exchange.

The group consisted of 18 U-13 players, family members and club officials from Nort AC.

On Thursday they got to experience the Féile U-15 semi-final at the hurling club.

On Friday morning we were off to the 12 o’Clock Hills  followed by the LOI game betweenTreaty V Dundalk in the evening.

We held a tournament on Saturday morning with 2 Bridge teams, Newmarket team and 2 teams from Nort AC.  The Nort AC blue team were eventual winners. An eagerly contested ladies 7 a side  match also took place between the Bridge ladies and the Nort AC ladies.

Next up the group headed to the Munster rugby match.

A trip to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park followed by a BBQ rounded off a great weekend for the group.

A big thanks to everyone that helped out and to Ei Electronics for there kind sponsorship over the weekend.
