Another monster bank holiday Bingo on Monday as we delivered nearly €6500 in prizes on the night. The main jackpot moves on to €11200 with no winner this week, the bonus number moves to €400 and all other jackpots are back in place. Senior Men Junior League
Killeevan were our visitors last Friday evening for round 3 of the league. A strong start from the Seans inspired the team and they converted most their chances while maybe leaving a few behind. By half time they had amassed a six point lead which may have lead to a little of complacency for the second period. Scores were exchanged however we found it hard to make our opportunities count. In a purple patch by Killeevan, they turned the game on its head, scoring 2-3 without reply and pushing in front by two points. It was time for cool heads and the lads found their rhythm again and slowly began to reclaim the scoreboard. Two goals in quick succession put us in front and, along with a couple of points, we closed the game out for a win by seven points. A lesson learned that nothing is for granted in Junior football. Next up is an away game to Oram on Friday night.

Minors
Our minor lads finally got off the mark on Tuesday last with a great away win over Magheracloone. Failure to secure a result there in recent visits did cast doubt on the night but the team dug deep and maximised the new two point rule to secure their first victory in the league. This is a tough division and they are once again on the road on Wednesday, away to Carrickmacross.

Monaghan LGFA Minors
Congratulations to Ryan Connolly, Julie Finan, and Elie McElvaney, who were all part of the Minor Ladies squad who secured the Ulster Minor Gold Cup on Saturday last with a great win over Donegal. Ryan is part of the management team and the girls played their part as squad members. Well done and good luck as they progress.

Mothers & Others Fundraising Blitz.
Congratulation to our Mothers and Dads who had a hugely successful fundraising blitz on Sunday last. With teams from all over coming to play, there was a definite carnival atmosphere around the club. It was our maiden voyage into hosting such an event but given the positive feedback from our visitors on how well the day unfolded, this could be a more regular event in the calendar. A big thanks to all our sponsors, stewards, cooking teams, players and management for their help in making the day a triumph.
