“One of our own, he’s one of our own, Billy Hogan……….he’s one of our own!”

All of us in Longwood are rightfully proud of Billy Hogan, Meath’s No.1

Billy played a crucial part in Meath’s recent victory over Dublin, pulling off spectacular saves in both halves.

Longwood will be travelling en masse to Croke Park on Sunday to cheer on Billy and his team-mates as they square up to neighbours Louth in the Leinster Final.

It’s a repeat of the 2010 final………….most people have forgotten that game………….it was pretty uneventful and generated little or no post-match discussion!

Louth are on a high at the moment, so Meath will have a formidable challenge to overcome but their semi-final victory over the Dubs is sure to have filled them with confidence.

Here’s hoping Billy has a quiet afternoon between the posts and Meath can bring home the cup!

An Mhí abú!  💚💛🤍🖤
