Thank you so much for the fantastic interest from the Éire Óg community in relation to hosting players and coaches from GAA Palestine.

‼️We still need more families to host‼️

For those who are still undecided, here is some information on GAA Palestine. It was established in July 2024 and the club currently has about 28 members.

Claire Liddy, a native of County Clare 🇺🇦, along with fellow coaches, are bringing the players to Ireland for a two week holiday in July and their visit will include the following stops: 4 nights in Dublin, 4 in Cork, 1 in Ennis, 1 in Galway, 1 in Derry, 2 in Belfast and 1 night in Dublin before they return to Palestine.

During their stay, the children and their coaches will be hosted by families all around the country, they will attend 2 Cúl Camps, training sessions and enjoy the famous Irish hospitality.

Claire has chosen Éire Óg to host the group for one night on Saturday 26th July. It is a great privilege for the club to be selected to welcome GAA Palestine as many other local clubs wanted to host them too.

On the 26th July, the same day as GAA Palestine arrive, Éire Óg will host our annual Summer Family Day and BBQ 🍔🍟🍕, so there will be entertainment for everyone on the day 🎶 🎵.

We will organise matches with mixed teams made up of GAA Palestine and Éire Óg players and in the evening the children will go to the house with their host families.

It is expected they will depart Éire Og around 11:00 AM on Sunday.

✉️☎️Please contact John Keating at secretaryeireogacademy@gmail.com or on 087 8328681 if you can spare a room or two in your home on the night of 26th July.
