St. Finnachtas NS Sixmilebridge travelled to Clonlara on Wednesday for the Primary Schools Academy competition. This is the first year of this format whereby a school names a first team panel and all others can then play on the Academy team similar to the current underage structures in Clare.
This gave the opportunity for a number of younger boys to try competitive schools hurling and the Bridge boys did so with great success winning all their games. Well done to the boys who now qualify from their group for the County finals in the Academy competition..

Round 1: SMB 2-2 Broadford 1-1
Round 2: SMB 3-4  Clonlara 1-0
Round 3: SMB 3-1 Stonehall 1-0
Round 4: Bye
Round 5:  SMB 1-6  1-0 Clonmoney

Clonmoney girls qualified for the Division 2 Camogie final after they defeated Barefield NS on Wednesday to setup an encounter with Inagh.
Following a tight first half which saw them lead 1-03 to 0-04 at half time the boys eventually ran out 5-12 to 1-5 winners over Ogonnolloe to qualify for the Division 3 final where they will play Crusheen or Newmarket.

The school finals will take place next Wednesday 11th June and Thursday 12th June in Cusack Park. We will share the fixtures when we get them but it will be busy times for our clubs boys and girls with representation in 4 finals: Kilmurry NS, Clonmoney Boys, Clonmoney Girls and St Senans Boys.
