After much anticipation our Dads&Lads Hurlers played their first ever match last Sunday as Naomh Olaf visited the club. A crowd gathered to cheer on the team (which included lads originally hailing from Meath, Cork, Donegal and Dublin) in a 9-a side match on the All-Weather pitch.

Although some of our lads had never played before, the experience of our Dads&Lads Footballers helped them find their flow in what was an entertaining and competitive match. At the final whistle, both teams retired to the club bar for a catch up and some well deserved refreshments!

The next outing for the lads is the St Jude’s All Ireland Hurling Weekend Festival. New players are always welcome, so if you’re interested in getting involved with the team, please contact Brian on 087 252 4374 for more information.
