Long-standing club member Philip Brady has been elected Junior Vice-President of the Leinster Branch of the IRFU (Leinster Rugby) for the 2025/2026 season. His election took place during Leinster Rugby’s Annual General Meeting, held at Donnybrook on Thursday evening, May 29th.
Philip was proposed for the position by fellow Navan RFC member John Coen, reflecting the strong support and esteem he holds within both the club and the broader Leinster rugby community.

This historic appointment marks a major milestone for Navan RFC, as it is the first time in the club’s 100-year history that a member has been elected to such a senior position within the provincial rugby hierarchy.
Philip has served as Navan RFC’s representative to Leinster Rugby since the club’s promotion to senior status in 2009. Over the past 15 years, he has made significant contributions on various Leinster committees, including the Marketing and Commercial Committee, earning widespread recognition for his insight, dedication, and professionalism.

Alongside his involvement at provincial level, Philip has remained a steadfast supporter within Navan RFC, serving as a club trustee and previously holding numerous key roles, including that of Club President. His deep-rooted commitment to the club has made him a respected and influential figure on and off the pitch.

In this new role, Philip is on a clear path to eventually serve as President of the Leinster Branch of the IRFU in the 2027/2028 season, a position that would cap a remarkable career in rugby administration and reflect the high regard in which he is held at every level of the game.

Navan RFC at its own recent AGM extended its warmest congratulations to Philip on this honour both for him and the club and looks forward to supporting him in this exciting new chapter of his rugby journey.
